Psychiatry

The Department of Psychiatry is dedicated to the highest standards of clinical care, teaching and research. Clinical psychopharmacology of major mental disorders, geriatric psychiatry, dual diagnosis clinic and women's mental health services are areas of special emphasis. The partial hospitalization program for adults experiencing an acute crisis offers a day program structured to provide patients with the intensity of inpatient care while remaining connected to their families and community.

St. Elizabeth's is proud to support Project INTERFACE a service of the Freedman Center at The Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology, which provides mental health resource and referral services for children and families. The website www.projectinterface.org features categorized resources about mental health and wellness and related topics. In addition the site lists upcoming events such as lectures, training sessions, and similar opportunities related to mental health and wellness issues. Project INTERFACE also maintains an extensive database of individual and group practitioners and their areas of interest or specialty.

Participating communities can call the PI HELPLINE at 617-332-3666 X 411 to receive matched referrals to mental health providers.
