Our highly experienced mother and baby experts provide all aspects of maternal and newborn care – during pregnancy, labor, delivery, and post-delivery.

St. Elizabeth's team of obstetricians and gynecologists (ob/gyn’s), midwives, nurses and staff are well known for their compassionate care and exceptional service delivered in a family-friendly environment.  They take a holistic, individualized approach in addressing the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of every patient.

A mother and her newborn

Our superbly trained ob/gyn’s are all board-certified faculty members of the Tufts University School of Medicine.  Their services range from the routine to the most advanced and may include collaboration with on-site sub-specialists in high-risk obstetrics and gynecologic oncology, if needed.

With a philosophy of equal respect for both mothers and fetuses, our team is known for its ability to safely deliver multiple births.

Outpatient Care
St. Elizabeth’s provides a full range of outpatient prenatal and post-delivery care.  Our services include physical examinations, testing, genetic counseling and pre-and post-delivery support.  We offer classes in childbirth education, nutrition and breast feeding CPR. Pastoral counseling is available for all denominations.

Inpatient Care
Our modern, comfortable St. Margaret’s Center for Women and Infants is staffed around-the-clock by highly experienced physicians and maternity nurses. It provides private labor and delivery suites equipped with the latest monitoring technology.  All rooms are private and include extra beds for family members.  Our goal is to ensure the most positive birthing experience possible.

High-Risk Obstetrics
St. Elizabeth’s maternal fetal medicine physicians are expert at treating complications that sometimes arise during pregnancy.

Neonatal and Surgical Intensive Care
St. Elizabeth’s is one of very few Boston-area hospitals with dedicated intensive care units for pregnant and delivering mothers, and for newborns.  These units are run in collaboration with Children’s Hospital, Boston.

All services are provided at our conveniently located Boston campus, where patients receive free valet parking and visitors have ample, low-cost parking.
