St. Elizabeth’s Cardiovascular Center provides state-of-the-art heart care that matches or surpasses that found in many elite Boston medical centers, in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.
Our doctors, all board-certified faculty members of the Tufts University School of Medicine, offer leading-edge diagnosis and treatment for problems ranging from minor heart palpitations to advanced heart failure.
We’ve earned a high reliability cardiac care award from MASSPro, one of the country's leading healthcare quality organizations. We’ve also won a national "Gold Seal" Certificate of Distinction for primary stroke care by the Joint Commission. And, several of our doctors have been named best in their fields by Boston Magazine.
Known for cutting-edge research and treatment, St. Elizabeth’s was the first hospital in the world to implant stents to hold open collapsed veins and the first to help people grow new heart muscle using their own cells.
Today, we offer some of the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures available anywhere. These include, among others: the mini-maze to combat atrial fibrillation; PET scan evaluation for obese patients; heart-net device implantation and calcium scoring using CT technology, which is provided free of charge. We also provide access to numerous clinical trials.
The McGrath Family Cardiovascular Center
All cardiovascular procedures are carried out on our conveniently located, patient-friendly Boston campus in clinical areas designed to support the comfort of all patients. One of our newest areas, the McGrath Family Cardiovascular Center, combines leading-edge technology with comfort and privacy for each patient.
Because cardiovascular disease is usually systemic, our cardiac experts collaborate with colleagues in many medical specialties. We also work closely with patients, families and primary care physicians.
Our mission is to deliver state-of-the-art care holistically and personally—in order to extend and improve the quality of every patient’s life.
