On June 16, 2009, our new facility opened providing patients and families with the best of both worlds: cutting-edge emergency medicine delivered in a community setting. The three-story, 45,700 square foot facility houses the latest advancements in technology - including Boston's only 256-slice CT scanner in an ED - and provide a comfortable, private setting for patients and families. The modern façade links the hospital with the surrounding community as the ground-floor lobby opens to a public plaza at the corner of Washington and Cambridge streets.
