The Department of Medicine at Caritas St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, a major teaching affiliate of Tufts University School of Medicine, is committed to excellence in patient care, education and training, and research.
Clinical Programs
The Department offers comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for adults from throughout New England. It encourages referrals of complex diagnostic and treatment problems in all fields of internal medicine. The Department comprises a general internal medicine/primary care division, eleven clinical subspecialty divisions/sections, and a substance abuse program.
Education and Training Programs
The Department of Medicine is committed to excellence in undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate education. It offers competitive Internal Medicine Residency and Subspecialty Fellowship Training Programs as well as numerous clerkships for third- and fourth-year medical students.
Research Programs
The Department of Medicine is fully engaged in basic, translational and clinical research programs. Beyond its commitment to discovery, the Department is dedicated to training the scientists and clinical investigators of the future.
