Dear Friend,

Join us as we continue to grow! Saturday, May 16, will mark the 11th Annual Get Moving Walk. This community fundraising effort, started in 1999, will benefit Saint Anne’s Hospital Regional Cancer Care with locations at Hudner Oncology Center in Fall River, and our new radiation oncology satellite site in Dartmouth, MA.

We are proud that with your help, the Get Moving Walk has raised, in ten years, more than $780,000, growing from 99 walkers to an impressive 533 walkers, since its grassroots beginning. The generosity of our sponsors allows us to keep our original commitment of designating 100% of all funds raised by walkers to directly benefit our patients at both locations.

We are very excited to be supporting Saint Anne’s Hospital’s investment of $5 million in technology and facility enhancements at the Hudner Oncology Center and $21 million in the construction of a state-of-the-art radiation center in Dartmouth, MA. Both will allow Saint Anne’s to continue to provide the region’s most comprehensive cancer care, offering the expertise of university cancer centers with the convenience of a community setting.

On behalf of the thousands of patients in our region who benefit from the funds raised through Get Moving, we encourage you to “grow with us!” Gather your friends, family, co-workers and neighbors, and mark your calendar for Saturday, May 16th for the Anthony F. All walkers must register in order to receive walker rewards and be listed in the Get Moving Memory Book. You can register and turn in your walker pledge form and donations on Friday, May 15 from 8:00am-7:00pm at pre-registration at Saint Anne's Hospital in Rm. 134-Nannary Conference Room in Clemence Hall.  You can also register the day of the walk, May 16 between 8:00 -9:00 AM at Diman Tech.

Set a goal and make it happen! Create your own walker web page to help reach your goal.  Include a personal message and even a photo, and then e-mail your page to family, friends, and co-workers. Collect donations securely on line. Create a page now! You can also collect donations face to face using a walker pledge form.

Ask friends, family or co-workers to join you in creating a team!
