Share your spirit....Form a Team

Get Moving together for a purpose! Walk as a team and let hope spread by leaps and bounds! Just invite others join your team, decide on a name and elect a team captain. Team members register individually and indicate their team name on their registration envelope at registration.

That's the Spirit Award: Design your own t-shirts and signs telling us who you are, what inspires you and why you are walking. You and your team might just take home the 2009 Team Spirit Award. Each team member can create a walker web page, and can keep track of who is on their team, what they have raised and how close the team is to the team goal.

Remember, a team can be any number of people and teams of five or more will be listed in the Get Moving Memory Book.

It's fun! It's easy! It's secure! Create your own walker web page and e-mail friends, family co-workers to collect donations safely on-line in addition to those you collect in person. Here's how to begin:

Choose a team name, fundraising goal, and goal for the number of team members you'd like to have.
Choose a team captain with internet access.
The captain registers your team on line.
Teams members create their own walker web pages and link them together to form a team online.
Team captains are notified by e-mail each time someone joins the team.

What if not everyone on my team has a computer?
- That's o.k. Not everyone on your team needs to have computer access for you to get your team on the web. Those who have internet access can create their own fundraising pages while other members can be soliciting donations solely face to face using a Get pledge form.
