Located adjacent to the main hospital lobby, the Robert F. Stoico/FIRSTFED Center for Breast Care is open Monday-Friday with convenient appointment hours. 

Free valet parking is available for all patients and visitors at our main entrance on South Main Street, Monday-Friday, 6 a.m.-7 p.m.

Since 2001, the Robert F. Stoico/FIRSTFED Center for Breast Care of Saint Anne's Hospital has provided area residents with comprehensive and coordinated breast health, education, and diagnostic, surgical and treatment services. 

Our services

Located on the ground floor of the hospital's main building, the Robert F. Stoico/FIRSTFED Center for Breast Care offers comprehensive breast health imaging and services, including:

• All-digital screening mammography* and diagnostic mammography
• Breast MRI (click here to learn more about breast MRI)
• Ultrasound
• Stereotactic breast biopsy (ultrasound- and mammography-guided)
• Ultrasound-guided needle core biopsy
• Bone density testing
• Surgeons’ clinics for patient consultation
• Coordination of care with Saint Anne's Hospital Regional Cancer Care, southeastern Massachusetts' most comprehensive cancer care center and one of the largest community-based cancer care programs in Massachusetts

*Did you know ...

• You have the right to self-refer for a screening mammogram and to choose the facility you want to schedule your appointment.
• A physician referral for a screening mammogram is not required.

Our staff

The center is staffed by a team of breast-health experts, including registered nurses, certified mammography technologists, case manager, radiologists, and a dedicated patient navigator who helps patients access, plan and understand their breast care.  All are focused on providing the best possible diagnostic and follow-up breast health services.

"Chocolate and Roses" and other special breast health events

The center also offers educational activities to promote knowledge of health topics of interest to women. 

"Chocolate and Roses" screening mammography and education is one of our most popular mammography services.  This special monthly program features Saint Anne’s advanced Hologic all-digital mammography technology, plus numerous "pampering" treasts, just for you!   Each month's event includes such amenities as designer chocolates, pastry buffet, sparkling cider, long-stemmed roses or other seasonal flowers, and a variety of activities such as chair and hand massages, music, and health education ... all provided at no charge.

Thank you to our friends

Major funding for the Robert F. Stoico/FIRSTFED Center for Breast Care was provided by the FIRSTFED Charitable Foundation with a $500,000 gift.  In addition, the Friends of Saint Anne's, the hospital's volunteer community service organization, completed two $250,000 pledges that underwrote the Center's "Friends of Saint Anne's Diagnostic Suite," featuring mammography and other diagnostic technology.
