- Swansea, MA
Since its inception in 1994, Saint
Anne’s Hospital’s Center for Pain
Management has seen exponential
growth. What began as a small
clinic with one physician and one nurse
in response to area physicians’ requests
is today a bustling multidisciplinary
specialty center that addresses a
spectrum of chronic pain conditions
experienced by patients from across
southeastern Massachusetts and nearby
Rhode Island. While Saint Anne’s number of pain management patients has increased dramatically over the years (more than 50 percent in the last five years alone), and the staff has grown in both number and expertise, the space within which to treat patients has maximized its potential. To accommodate patients’ needs, especially the growing number from communities west of Fall River and in the nearby East Bay area of Rhode Island, the Center for Pain Management has expanded to Swansea, MA. Located at 440 Swansea Mall Drive (Route 118), the new 11,000-square-foot center duplicates the same “one-stop” care offered at the hospital’s clinic. The Swansea facility (above) includes:
The location on the Massachusetts-Rhode Island line is easily accessible via routes I-195, 6, and 118 and offers plentiful on-site parking. “We’re excited that we are able to offer this new facility for our patients,” said Allison Gorski, MD, the center’s medical director. “It allows us to provide the best of patient care in both locations and give those coming from communities west of Fall River even easier access to that care.” |
