About Por Cristo

History

Por Cristo has been involved in health care work in Latin America, with a focus on Ecuador, since 1979.  As part of the larger Caritas Christi Health Care System, Por Cristo often works in tandem with other members of the system. 

Por Cristo carries out its work in four distinct ways:

• Por Cristo Nutrition and Health Center
• Insititution-strengthening through Medical Expertise/Technical Assistance
• Collaboration on a Community Health/Tuberculosis Project
• Provision of Medical Equipment and Supplies to clinics and hospitals
