Norwood Hospital's Neurology Services provides a state-of-the-art testing center. The center provides high quality neurodiagnostic services to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating neurological disorders in adult and children, including electromyography (EMG), adult and pediatric electroencephalography (EEG), electronystagmography (ENG), and evoked potentials (VEP, SSEP and BREP). The Neurology Department also directly assists in the coordination of the hospital's stroke services.
Clyde Niles, MD, who serves as the director of the lab and Alan Kurland, MD, have additional training in neurophysiology. In addition, Alan Silken, MD, specializes in pediatric neurology and pediatric EEG. Salvatore Napoli, MD directs the Caritas Multiple Sclerosis Program.
