Pre-Admission Testing

The Pre-Admission testing department is designed to prepare patients for elective surgery. Patients requiring this service are scheduled through their surgeon’s office, register with admitting and then meet with members of anesthesia staff, nursing and complete any necessary clinical testing prior to their scheduled surgery. Appointments generally take approximately 1 hour with day and evening appointments available. If pre-admission testing is not necessary, nursing staff from the department make every effort to conduct a phone interview prior to scheduled surgery.
