The division of nursing (NUR) supports the mission of the college. Inherent in the Catholic identity of the college is the mission to provide opportunities to a diverse population of students to become nurses. The associate degree in nursing program fosters individual growth, personal development and critical thinking and prepares graduates for entry-level positions. Our associate in science in nursing program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). The faculty supports the National League for Nursing's educational outcomes concerning roles and competencies of associate degree nursing programs.

The program in nursing is approved by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing. Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN examination to become licensed as a Registered Nurse.
Curriculum
The associate in science in nursing (ASN) degree provides a broad academic background. Along with nursing, courses in the sciences and humanities are included in the curriculum. Clinical experiences are planned in a variety of health care settings to achieve the educational outcomes of the curriculum.
Nursing education at our college utilizes a variety of teaching modalities. Classroom lectures, computer assisted instruction, nursing simulation laboratory sessions and selected clinical experiences help prepare graduates to meet the challenges of today's health care environment.

Labouré Student Nurses' Association
The Labouré Student Nurses' Association (LSNA), a constituent of the National Student Nurses' Association (NSNA), is a pre-professional association dedicated to student nurses. Its mission is to provide an atmosphere conducive to a quality nursing education and to foster the development of responsible and accountable members of the nursing profession.
Program of Studies
The nursing program begins in both fall and winter semesters. A part time evening program is also available. This program has a January start date.
