Nutrition and Diabetes

The Diabetes Self-Management Education class is taught by Beth Cronin, MS, RD, CDE, an outpatient dietitian in the Caritas Holy Family Diabetes Program, and Kathy Shaughnessy, BNS, RN, CDE.

Our registered, licensed dietitians offer comprehensive nutrition services to outpatients.  We provide individualized Medical Nutrition Therapy for a variety of concerns such as obesity, cardiac, digestive disorders, intolerances, allergies, pregnancy and more.

Booking an appointment requires a physician referral for Medical Nutrition Therapy.

Insurance coverage for Outpatient Medical Nutrition Therapy varies among insurance plans and you need to contact your insurance carrier to determine coverage prior to the first nutrition appointment.  Insurance referrals for Medical Nutrition Therapy may be required from your PCP office.

 All appointments require registration through the patient registration office at extension 2191.

Individual nutrition appointments are conveniently offered during the day, evening and Saturdays.
