Pain Management

The Pain Management Center offers a multidisciplinary approach to both acute and chronic pain management including diagnostic services.

Each patient is carefully evaluated and a diagnosis is made and reviewed with the patient. Many patients with chronic painful conditions that do not respond to interventional approaches benefit from a multidisciplinary perspective. Rehabilitation and psychological services can be coordinated in conjunction with the referring physician.

Some of the technology and techniques available are:

  • Comprehensive history and physical exam
  • Evaluation and treatment of sympathetically maintained pain states (complex regional pain syndromes)
  • Preoperative diagnostic blockade for spinal fusion or dissectomy
  • Diagnostic neural blockade
  • Epidural steroid administration
  • The Pain Management Center is located at The Goddard Center in Stoughton.

Physician referral is required.
